Welcome to Abby’s! 
Under new management and newly renovated, Abby’s is your source for compassionate, qualified care for dogs of all kinds.
Manager Mary Farren 
brings 30 years to the table as an experienced certified dog trainer from Animal Behavior College 
and a Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator for AKC. 
We’re based in Chelmsford but serve all of Greater Boston, the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.
From Lowell to Woburn, rely on Abby’s to offer spacious, clean and comfortable kennels, five acres of land, and targeted training programs that range from puppy training to advanced training.
Mary Farren always had dogs growing up and knew she wanted to work with them in some capacity. After working for kennels in the past, being a part of training clubs, teaching obedience and protection, and even leasing space in Melrose for a time, she knew it was time to take the next step and manage her own facility.
She also saw a growing need for dog training in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic where more and more people were buying, adopting and rescuing dogs that subsequently needed socialization, house breaking and behavior modification.
When looking for extra kennel space to rent, Mary saw the potential in Abby’s, which has enjoyed many decades as an established kennel in the area.
Abby’s was re-opened in January of 2024 with newly renovated kennel spaces, new floors, new features, and spacious indoor and outdoor areas for dog training and playing. We offer group training, private training, boarding and grooming, and day care services. We even have dogs for sale.

They send pictures of how happy he is and when I pick him up they always give me a quick report of how the day went. Best of all.. I have one tired puppy dog when we get home!
